Mekyun wins KNKV's Best National Entertainment Influencer

22 Feb - Social media influencer Wee Yun Nee aka Mekyun is elated to win Best National Entertainment Influencer at the KNKV Viral Awards.

The Kelantan-born content creator shared the good news on Instagram with a video from the event, writing, "OMG?! I made it, [guys]. Mekyun, your 2024 Best National Entertainment Influencer!"

"Thank you all for your support and love. I am still speechless," she added.

Fans and friends alike took to the comments to congratulate Mekyun, including TV personality Sherry Alhadad, who posted several heart emojis and wrote, "Congratulations MekYun."

Mekyun went viral in the past for speaking in Kelantanese dialect

It is noted that Mekyun was nominated in three categories at the awards, including Best National Influencer and Best National Original Viral Video. She bested other contenders including Azfar Heri and Nasz Kenyang to win in the category.

The KNKV Viral Award 2024 is a prestigious event that recognises and honours the outstanding contributions of digital media influencers, content creators, viral pages and channels who have made a positive impact on the Malaysian social media landscape. The award ceremony serves as an official acknowledgment of these individuals' efforts in promoting positive moral values, fostering ethical practices, and enhancing the overall digital media environment in the country.
