Meghan Markle's $30 Party Hack Will Save You Hours of Frustration

In the second episode of her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, she shares her secret to crafting the perfect balloon arch for her children's birthday parties.
Electric Balloon Pump
In the episode, Meghan puts together a whimsical tea party for Mindy Kaling. (You might have seen the tea party in early promotional materials for the show—it takes place in a stunning glass greenhouse.) Because the pair both have young children, Meghan walks Mindy through her tips and tricks for planning an elevated kids' party without the help of a professional event planner. Her secret? Keeping it "cheap and cheerful," says Meghan.
One of the easiest ways for her to do that is by DIYing a balloon arch with the help of a simple electric pump. As it turns out, the Duchess is no stranger to balloon arches! After spending a few painful hours manually inflating a balloon arch for Prince Archie's first birthday, she knew there had to be a better way. "It really starts to get tiresome on your cheeks. Instead, there is a great little device that you can buy," she says before pulling out a blue balloon pump. It also comes with four different nozzles to ensure the machine works with a variety of balloon types.
Balloon Arch Tape
Once the balloons are inflated, Meghan relies on a simple $4 strand of balloon arch tape to pull her display together. Just be sure to follow her advice and use a mix of sizes for your balloons. "Give them a little bit of space to breathe," she says.
