Today, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle returned to New York City for their Archewell Foundation’s first-ever in-person summit—an event deliberately timed to World Mental Health Day.

However, despite the milestone occasion, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex still had a jam-packed schedule and even dedicated their morning to visiting Marcy Lab School near Industry City, Brooklyn—a post-secondary school for students studying technology—to spread awareness in honor of the day.

And according to Page Six, Harry advised the following to the group during his and Meghan's visit: “Everyone’s got their own story, reason for being here, your life is still going to be filled with complications and challenges. And if one of you starts to go quiet, doesn’t show up, you need to find out why.” Mood: 🥺❤️.

Then, just a few short hours later, Harry and Meghan made their way to Hudson Yards for the Archewell Foundation's Parents' Summit—an event hosted by Project Healthy Minds that featured tons of festivities, including a panel with the royals alongside Surgeon General Vivek Murthy and moderator-slash-Today co-host Carson Daly‚ whom has opened up a ton about his own struggles with mental health in the past. According to Page Six, the event focused on “building community and creating positive change for a safer online world for young people.”

Plus, the event spotlit a cause that remains near and dear to both Meghan and Harry's hearts. During her October 11 episode of her Archetypes podcast, the Duchess of Sussex recounted the story of how her husband helped her reach out to a mental health professional when she was at her “worst point.”

“I mean, I think at my worst point, being finally connected to someone that, you know, my husband had found a referral for me to call. And I called this woman. She didn't know I was even calling her,” Meghan began during her convo with fellow actors Deepika Padukone,
Jenny Slate, and Constance Wu (per Page Six).

“And she was checking out at the grocery store. I could hear the little beep, beep, and I was like, ‘Hi,’ and I’m introducing myself and that you can literally you’re going, wait, sorry. I’m just. Who is this? Um, and saying I need help. And she could hear the dire state that I was in,” she continued. “But I think it’s for all of us to be really honest about what it is that you need and to not be afraid to make peace with that, to ask for it.” Meghan and Haz 🤝🏻 iconic mental health advocates.

Btw, the couple's NYC trip is their first since this past May's “near catastrophic car chase,” which involved a dangerous paparazzi chase after the royals and Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, attended the Women of Vision Awards. Luckily, things seem to be going a lot better this time around re: safety!
