  • Meghan Markle reportedly felt like there was a "conspiracy" against her while living in England.

  • The Duchess was unfulfilled by not earning an income.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently stepped down from royal duties and moved to Los Angeles—which is more than understandable considering the massive negative spotlight Meghan dealt with while in England. And according to royal reporter Katie Nicholl in The Times, the Duchess felt like there was a "conspiracy" against her at the palace.

A source tells Nicholl that Meghan "was convinced there was a conspiracy against her and so she basically put herself in isolation when they moved to Frogmore." She also "felt like an outsider from the start," as "this wasn’t the life she was used to and she wanted out.”

According to the source, "One of the things Meghan struggled with was not earning an income. She has always worked and I think she felt unfulfilled. Having financial freedom was a big part of them wanting to leave."

Now that they are in Los Angeles, Harry has reportedly been struggling, with sources saying “He had a much more established life in England and he doesn’t really know anyone in LA. I imagine he might be feeling a bit of what [Meghan] felt over in the UK—lonely and directionless.”

That said, he has made a few friends including Leonardo DiCaprio, so at least there's that!
