Who Plays Young Gomez and Morticia in 'Wednesday?'Netflix

Tim Burton's Wednesday accomplished several things when it hit Netflix: making everyone face plant directly into a goth phase, breaking several streaming records, causing some of us to wonder if our crush on Thing is normal, and—most significantly—making pretty much every member of the cast famous overnight. Like Jenna Ortega gained 10 million followers on Instagram in the 10 days after the show premiered. It's wild!

But outside the core cast, Wednesday also introduced us to Lucius Hoyos and Gwen Jones, who play Young Gomez and Young Morticia Addams on the show. And while they don't have too many scenes due to most of Wednesday season 1 taking place in the present, the ones they do have were amazing. Time to get to know them better!

Lucius Hoyos aka Young Gomez

Chances are you've seen Lucius in at least one or two projects over the year, because he's been working a lot, including voice work in every parent's fave shows PAW Patrol and Little Charmers plus roles in Heroes Reborn, This Is The Night, and Reign.

Meanwhile, you can follow Lucius on Insta (where he's honestly pretty lol) and on TikTok for a ton of BTS on being in Wednesday!

Also, he's in a band called Dog Cosmic and plays a lot of music on his various accounts, so go ahead and support him :)

FYI, Lucius' brother is an actor named Ricardo Hoyos (he's been in everything from Riverdale to Degrassi), and Lucius said he was one of his inspirations for getting into the industry, telling Talk Nerdy With Us, "My brother is an actor. I just always wanted to be like him (Laughs) and follow in his footsteps so I just became an actor."

Gwen Jones aka Young Morticia

Based on her IMDb, Young Morticia is Gwen Jones' first major role...which is a pretty fantastic debut gig. Because of this, not a huge amount is known about Gwen—though this *appears* to be her Instagram in case you were wondering (unverified so...take with a grain of salt)!

FYI, there are already calls for Young Morticia and Young Gomez to get their own series chronicling the early days of their relationship, so if that does happen you should get used to seeing these two on your screen!

On that note, just going to leave you with this thirsty fan-made TikTok begging for a prequel:

As for season 2 of Wednesday, Netflix confirmed the show *will* be coming back for another installment—though TBD on how long we have to wait.

Co-showrunner Miles Millar teased season 2 to TVLine, saying, “We felt like we just touched the surface with those characters and the actors are so amazing in those roles.…Catherine [Zeta-Jones] is, I think, an iconic Morticia. The relationship between Wednesday and Morticia is also essential to the show, and the idea that Wednesday is trying to forge her own path outside the family is important.”

No word on if Young Gomez and Young Morticia will make another appearance via flashback in season 2, but we live in hope! Either way, Jenna Ortega will be a huge part of making that decision because she's both acting in and producing season 2. More on that (and rumors of Lady Gaga potentially joining the cast) below:
