McFly's Danny Jones has shared the biggest mistakes he made while filming for Celebrity MasterChef.

Speaking to Alex Jones and Jermaine Jenas on The One Show (July 26), Jones discussed his time on the popular cooking show alongside fellow contestants Paul Chuckle and Nancy Dell'Olio.

When asked by the hosts if he discovered any hidden culinary talents during his time on MasterChef, he replied: "Absolutely nothing."

Danny continued: "Basically, anything I could see in the pan, I'm in control of. Anything in the oven, it's terrible. Once I can't see it, I forget about it. Out of sight, out of mind."

Things didn't seem get any better for the musician and The Voice Kids coach's cooking stint either, with him forgetting the name of a food processor.

"And then I don't know what you were like with them machines," he said to Paul Chuckle. "But I've never… you know them whiskers?

"I went to turn it on, and they just both popped out."

Responding to his comments, host Alex queried whether or not Danny was referring to using a food processor before joking: "I don't know, but I'm not feeling like we have any of the winners with us tonight."

Danny Jones will be joining Paul Chuckle and Nancy Dell'Olio in the upcoming season of Celebrity MasterChef, which begins on Wednesday, August 10.

Joining Jones, Chuckle and Dell'Olio on the cooking show are a whole range of stars, including Love Island's Faye Winter, former boxer-turned-Celebrity Gogglebox star Chris Eubank and soap actors Ryan Thomas and Richard Blackwood.

The One Show airs on BBC One.
