Mawar Rashid explains wedding: It was my mum's new marriage!

15 Mar - After sparking rumours of a second marriage with a Brunei businessman, Mawar Rashid finally took to social media to clarify that it wasn't her who got married recently.

It was her mother, Marinee Rashid.

Sharing several photos from the wedding on social media, the former wife of Raf Yaakob said that she never thought that she would have a father again.

"It's hard to accept that you will live in Brunei now, but you deserve a happy life for the rest of your life," she posted.

Mawar also revealed that her new dad was an old acquaintance of her mother, whom reunited after a simple "Long time no see" comment on the video of Prince Mateen of Brunei's wedding.

"To my new family in Brunei, welcome to the family. I love you endlessly," she added.

Mawar sparked speculation of a new marriage earlier after she shared photos of her wearing the henna. She also posted a photo of a marriage application form dated 8 March.

Mawar herself ended her marriage with Raf back in November after six years of marriage.
