Matteo Guidicelli: Sarah and I are not rushing for a baby

2 Dec – Fans who wanted to see a little version of Sarah-Matteo may not be getting their dream realised anytime soon, as Matteo Guidicelli recently admitted that he and wife Sarah Geronimo are not in a rush to have a baby.

As reported on Push, the singer, who spoke to the media at a virtual conference for Sun Life PH recently, stated that the two of them are not really trying for a baby right now and just want to enjoy each other's company.

"To be honest, we may have been [in a relationship] for a long time, but we never actually really got to spend much time together back then. That's why we're not rushing. We just saw my sister give birth. We want to savour that," he said.

Guidicelli stressed that he loves children and would love to have one of his own, but that he will leave everything to God.

"When the time comes, we will be ready. It's important to be ready for things like that. We've been blessed because we've been working for a long time and were able to save enough. I'm lucky, too, that my parents have taught me how to invest properly in different ventures," he said.

As to whether he will one day win Mommy Divine's (Sarah Geronimo's mother) approval and finally get to sit at the dinner table with the rest of the singer's family, Guidicelli responded, "Oh my gosh, I imagine it all the time."

"Not just for me, obviously for my wife. But also for my family, my parents," he added.
