Mat Yeung says he is not Jacqueline Wong's replacement
28 Jun – TVB actor Mat Yeung has recently dismissed previous rumours that he replaced Jacqueline Wong in one of the episodes of TVB's new travel show, "A Chef and A Gentleman" (previously titled "Men's Kitchen").
As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who is featured as one of the guests for the said show, told the media that he was originally approached to appear on the show even before they turned to the actress.
"Before the show started filming, the producer had already contacted me to shoot an episode covering Malaysia and Japan. But at the time I couldn't do it because of other work," he said.
Mat stated that it was a coincidence that he was free when Jacqueline's scandal with singer Andy Hui broke, and was able to do the reshoot with host Lai Lok Yi.
Meanwhile, Lai, whose said show is a part of TVB Amazing Summer line-up, shared that he hopes that the show will be a hit among viewers when it airs in July.
"The selling point of this show is that these celebrities are experiencing various things for the first time," he said.
