Mat Yeung has no issues with Lisa Ch'ng's family
14 Aug– Although he used to love having fun and dating around, Mat Yeung admitted light-heartedly that he is now tied to his model-actress girlfriend Lisa Ch'ng.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who spoke about his four-year relationship with the actress in an interview recently, revealed that he was most attracted by the love and care Lisa had shown him, plus years of constant reflection made him realise that she is the one for him.
As for wedding plans, Mat admitted that many have urged them to get married, but that a lot of his plans were interrupted due to the pandemic.
"I hope to have a certain degree of achievement and stability in my career before taking that responsibility of taking care of other people's daughter," he said, though stressed that his "future father-in-law" trusts him a lot.
Asked if it was challenging dating a woman from a prominent Malaysian household, Mat stated that the pressure comes from the outside world.
"Her family are very friendly, just like any other ordinary family. They treat me well," he added.
As to whether he would remain in Hong Kong or emigrate to Malaysia after marriage, Mat stated that he had not thought about it.
"I am a Hong Kong citizen. I haven't found other places that are as good as Hong Kong," he responded.
