Mary Jean Reimer held church wedding after Buddhist ceremony
17 Jun – Following her Buddhist wedding last year, former actress-turned-solicitor Mary Jean Reimer (Yung Jing Jing) recently held a church ceremony with husband, Sean Eric Mclean Hotung.
As reported on Mingpao, the couple walked down the aisle at St. John's Cathedral in Central, witnessed by their family and close friends, sans Mary's two daughters, Wanyi and Xingyi.
Speaking to the media after the ceremony, Mary shared that she is happy to see many relatives and friends at her wedding. She was also happy that they successfully carried out Buddhist and Christian ceremonies, in show of respect to their respective beliefs.
Asked why her daughters weren't at the wedding, Mary stated that they were there during the Buddhist ceremony.
"This time, we are doing it to respect the wishes of the family, and to invite my husband's relatives and friends," she added.
Asked what drew her to Sean, Mary said that her husband is kind and righteous.
"It's hard to find someone who is like-minded. He is also passionate about the law and is a legal scholar. We have a common interest in that subject, and we want to use the law to help everyone," she said.
