Marvel wants Sylvester Stallone in more movies
If you’ve watched the super awesome fun Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (see our review), you’ll have seen Sylvester Stallone as Stakar a.k.a. Starhawk, one of the original Guardians in the comics. Stallone also features in one of the movie’s five post-credits sequences.
But Marvel has more plans for Stallone beyond GotG Vol 2, says director James Gunn – not to mention the characters the 80s icon features with:
“My plan is to see more of [Stallone’s character]. “I’m not sure about him appearing in Vol. 3, we’ll have to see about that, but it’s our plan to see more of Stallone. [Marvel Studios chief] Kevin [Feige] and I are working on what is going to become of the Marvel Cosmic Universe and where it’s going to go. We plan to see the rest of them in the future.”

But there are big plans for Gunn too – not only is he committed to a third Guardians movie, he’s also helping to plan future Marvel movies.
