Marsha Milan grateful for winning AJL with "Hening Rindu"
18 Feb - Admitting that it came as a surprise, Marsha Milan couldn't help but express her gratitude to have won the grand title at the 39th Anugerah Juara Lagu that was held on 16 February with her song, "Hening Rindu".
Sharing her thoughts about her victory at the annual music event, the "Akademi Fantasia 3" alumna stated that the journey and success wouldn't have been possible without every soul Allah sent her that has been with her throughout her journey.
Thanking songwriters Ikhwan Fatanna and Wan Saleh, she expressed, "Thank you so much for writing a song that was so special that it brought out an emotion that I wasn't able to hide. God's plan is great, and the night became a sweet history in my music journey. Thank you, Allah."
In an interview after the competition, Marsha said that she didn't put any expectations on winning AJL, but to give her best.
"But I did think it would have been exciting if I were to win. Praise be to God, when my song was named the champion, it really was out of my expectation," she added.
