Married At First Sight Australia fans are asking the same question of Cam

Last night's (20th April) episode of Married At First Sight Australia on E4 brought us the penultimate dinner party. And whilst the series is approaching its end, it's showing zero sign of letting up on the drama, with Cameron dropping a pretty big bombshell during the episode.

In the dinner party whilst everyone else seems to be having a good time, there was clearly something up with Cameron and Lyndall. Towards the end of the dinner party Cameron let the group and Lyndall know for the first time that because of his work as a carpenter there may be times when he's working away from home in the territory from anywhere from two weeks away to a whole year.

He said: "I could be out there for two weeks. I could be out there for a month. I could be out there for six months to a year."

The whole group was pretty stunned with this revelation, as was Lyndall who seemed pretty blindsided. Cam then went onto say he didn't see the point in Lyndall moving out to Darwin as he would be away working anyway, which caused her to become even more upset.

Lyndall spoke to camera saying: "It was an incredibly hard conversation hearing the extent of Cam’s remote work. I knew that he was going to be out working remote but I didn’t realise just how long he’d be away."

The rest of the group tried to ask if there were ways around his schedule, but Cameron remained pretty fixed on his plan, and insisted he had to remain in Darwin for his career.

Following Cam's revelation, many viewers were questioning why Cam even entered the experiment in the first place.

One person said: "#MAFSAU why did Cam go on the show???"

Another said: "So you know you work remotely 8+ weeks at a time, why the hell did you apply for this experiment to waste someone's time kmt Cam is selfish! #MAFSAU."

And another said: "#MAFSAU why on Earth did Cam come on the show if he knew he was going to be working remotely for months on end??"

Others also questioned why Cam couldn't find work as a carpenter in Perth, so that he could stay with Lyndall, with one saying: "I'm still so confused about Cam's remote working in Darwin, he's a carpenter? Like surely he can work elsewhere in Australia am I missing something??"

Whilst it was very confusing for viewers, the experts appeared to shed some light on Cameron's entry into the show.

Alessandra said when they were speaking to Cameron before he entered the experiment he said wanted to change things about his lifestyle, which included being so remote.

"A big thing with Cameron coming into the experiment was being able to break away from the way that he has chosen to live his life up until now. He came in saying, ‘I want to change things about my lifestyle, the kind of life that I’m living about being so distant and so isolated'," Alessandra revealed.

So Cameron was willing to move originally? Alessandra then questioned if Cam was getting cold feet about his relationship with Lyndall.

It's certainly starting to look that way.

Will the couple make it through next week's commitment ceremony?
