Mark Lee: No gay production for me!

10 Oct - Taiwanese actor Mark Lee (also known as Lee Tien-chu) recently made a peculiar decision to express his thoughts about homosexuality at the Golden Bell Awards.

As reported on Sina News, the actor, who won Best Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film, spoke to the media after his acceptance speech, saying that he will just be honest about his views on LGBTI.

"Let me just put it out there. I don't support homosexuality because it will lead to the destruction of humanity," he said.

However, the devout actor, who plays the royal eunuch in "The Legend of Zhen Huan", stressed that it doesn't mean that he hates the gay community.

"I love them, I have compassion for them, but I have to say that this is wrong," he added.

Mark said that his views about homosexuality are the reason why he has rejected several gay productions, adding that he will not be a spokesperson for the LGBTI community.

"I will not betray my faith just for a bit of money," he added.
