Mark Herras denies engagement with Wynwyn Marquez
21 Feb - Actor Mark Herras has denied rumours that he and girlfriend Wynwyn Marquez are now engaged and expecting a baby.
As reported on PEP News, speculations about the couple's engagement sparked recently, after Herras shared an intimate photo of them at the Arayashima Bamboo Forest in Kyoto, Japan.
He captioned it "[I really love you, Wyn Marquez]", and added two hearts and a ring emoji at the end of the sentence.
Fans began to speculate and congratulate them for their union, especially since it was just recently that another couple - Maxene Magalona and Robby Manaquil got engaged while also vacationing in Japan.
On 19 February, Herras clarified the situation, saying that the photo was from their Valentine's Day celebration in Japan, and that nothing as speculated happened.
"We were praying for a lot of things; work, health, family, love, friends. Sorry, we are not engaged," he said.
Herras continued that he will only pop the question after he asked for permission from Marquez's parents, which is something that he hasn't done just yet.
He also denied that Marquez is with a baby and that he was marrying her because of a pregnancy, adding that the actress is not yet ready to settle down for the time being.
Herras added, "I am sorry for my previous posting and captions. I was just so in love and wanted to announce it to the world."
