Mark Chao admires his character in "Eternal Love"

6 Mar - Taiwanese actor Mark Chao admitted recently that there are reasons why he decided to make his television comeback through the costume drama, "Eternal Love".

According to Oriental Daily, the actor, who did an interview to promote the new costume drama, shared that he was drawn to the well-written script when it was given to him, and also to his character Ye Hua.

In the drama, Ye Hua, the Crown Prince of the Nine Heavens, falls in love with the same woman in three different worlds and lifetimes.

"He is very faithful, and I empathised with him in this aspect the most. His love doesn't change even after three different lifetimes and three different worlds. I appreciate this quality about him," he said.

However, Mark admitted that the similarity between him and Ye Hua ends there.

"He is the most handsome man in the Heaven's Court. But I am afraid, I am not up to that standard," he light-heartedly added.

Mark also believed that it was time for him to start trying new things in his career rather than doing the same thing over and over again.

"I told myself I should try this. Hopefully people will allow me the opportunity to play this character," he said.
