Marie Kondo Has Arrived At The Oscars And Her Dress Is Definitely Sparking Joy

Update, February 24, 6:11 pm: Our favorite adorable tidiness expert has arrived at the Academy Awards and her look is simply cleaning up the red carpet (had to). Observe:

As we previously reported below, Marie is at the awards show as a guest of Access, and is wearing a light pink gown with fun sequins that are clearly sparking a lot of joy. The dress was indeed designed by Kate Middleton favorite, Jenny Packham. She is walking the red carpet with her husband Takumi Kawahara. Marie's appearance is also sparking lots of tweets about how she's there to clean up the mess that is this year's Oscars. Enjoy a few below.

Original Post, February, 23: Just when you thought Marie Kondo was everywhere this year, here comes even more evidence: You'll be able to spot The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up star on the red carpet at Sunday's Academy Awards. The organizing guru's not up for an Oscar-despite how wildly popular her Netflix show, Tidying Up With Marie Kondo, has become-she's there as Access's guest.

Yep, that's right-the entertainment news show is bringing Marie along for her first Academy Awards appearance, where she'll work the red carpet with the show's hosts and mingle with nominees. To prepare, the team took her to Jenny Packham's showroom to find a gown that'd "spark joy." Obvi.

In a video shared on the show's YouTube channel, Marie tries on three dresses: one silver, one black, and one pink. And all very, very...

"Sparkly," she proclaimed, giving her reaction to the slinky, silvery number she tries on first. But that statement easily applies to all three in varying degrees. During her fitting, Olympic figure skater Adam Rippon-Access's guest last year and Marie superfan-stopped by to give her some tips on working the red carpet. He showed her a go-to pose (stand to the side with one hand on your hip, in case you're curious) and asked if she'd want to wear a leather body harness like he did last year.

Spoiler: It didn't seem to spark joy for her, though she did say it was "interesting."
