6 Dec – After much speculations, it is now confirmed that Marian Rivera is joining the judging panel at the upcoming 2021 Miss Universe pageant.

The news was announced by the actress' home network, GMA with a video of Marian saying that it is a big opportunity to be part of such an important event where everybody comes together to carry the flag of their own country.

"For me, that is a great honour, and so I accepted it with all my heart," she added.

Marian also confirmed that she will travel to Israel on 6 December alongside her entourage, and will be wearing a custom-made Francis Libiran dress during the coronation night.

Rumours of Marian joining the judging panel sparked after the actress shared a photo on social media that she captioned, "Honoured, #Grateful", with a crown and galaxy emojis.

This year, Cebuana beauty, Beatrice Luigi Gomez will be representing the Philippines in the upcoming event, which will be held on 12 December.
