Maria Cordero happy for Lisa-Marie Tse's win

7 Sep – Maria Cordero (Fat Mama Maria) recently admitted that she was over the moon that Scotland-born Lisa-Marie Tse was named the new Miss Hong Kong 2020.

As reported on Mingpao, the TV personality who nominated Lisa, praised the 25-year-old beauty as a good and honest girl.

"I know her father. He wanted her to compete in the Miss Hong Kong pageant for a while now, but she wanted to finish school first. It wasn't until this year that I nominated for her candidacy," she said.

Although she was in full support of Lisa's run, Maria stated that she kept a low profile to avoid increasing the beauty queen's pressure, aside from the fact that she was busy taking care of her ill husband.

"She really relied on her own efforts to win," she added.
