Margot Robbie is close to sealing the deal on "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".

15 Mar – Recent Academy Award nominee Margot Robbie is now in her final negotiations to play real-life actress Sharon Tate in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".

The latest update from Deadline reveals that the actress is close to sealing the deal to star in the Quentin Tarantino-helmed movie.

It was first reported back in July last year that Tarantino has approached Robbie for the role and now has made the offer, with negotiations underway to make this dream casting a reality.

If Robbie accepts the role, she will join Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, who both have worked with Tarantino in "Inglorious Basterds" and "Django Unchained", respectively.

"Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" will centre around late '60s Los Angeles, where TV star Rick Dalton (Dicaprio) and his stunt double best friend Cliff Booth (Pitt) struggle to adapt to the New Hollywood era.

Robbie will fit into the picture as Rick Dalton's next door neighbour who was brutally murdered by cult members of the Manson Family led by Charles Manson in 1969.

Margot Robbie does bear a resemblance to Sharon Tate.

Tarantino's ninth movie will start production this summer and is slated for a 9 August 2019 release date in America.

Robbie who was last seen in the Academy Award-winning "I, Tonya" will return to the big screen in four movies this year, namely "Peter Rabbit", "Mary Queen of Scots", "Dreamland", and "Terminal".
