Marcelito Pomoy wows judges at "America's Got Talent" semi-finals

5 Feb – Marcelito Pomoy has made it to the grand finals of the hit reality show, "America's Got Talent".

As reported on Push, the Filipino singer who is known for his ability to sing in both tenor and soprano, mesmerised all four judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Alesha Dixon, and Heidi Klum with a performance of Andrea Bocelli's "Con Te Partirò" during the semi-finals.

Said Mandel, Pomoy has the best shot of winning the competition.

"This is the semi-finals. You raised the game. The woman in you was just as good, but you as the man went up the notch," he said, sparking laughter from his fellow judges.

Dixon said the choice to sing Bocelli's song was absolutely brilliant and enabled Pomoy to shine, while Klum declared that the singer is her favourite contestant.

As for Cowell, the opinionated judge stated that Pomoy has to take bigger risks in the finals.

"If you make it to the finals I think you get to take a bigger risk because the surprise is now over. But I do believe that with the gift that you have, you have a massive career in front of you, I really, really do," Simon stated.

Pomoy previously won the second season of "Pilipinas Got Talent".
