Mao Xiaotong denies replacing Wang Churan in "Fireworks of My Heart"
1 Aug – Mao Xiaotong has recently dismissed the rumour that she will be replacing Wang Churan in the new drama, "Fireworks of My Heart" (also known as "Love Has Fireworks").
On 31 July, it was originally reported that Mao was supposed to play the love interest of Yang Yang's character in the series. This was due to a recent statement that she made in a variety show that she has secured a role in a project.
Some also alleged that she has already shot the teaser poster of the drama, sharing a photo of her in full make-up.
However, the actress had since denied it via her studio, saying that the supposed photo in full makeup on the internet was from a festival, and that the interview was not about the said drama.
"The internet is filled with fake news. Please learn not to believe in rumours and focus on details instead," her post on Weibo added.
