Mandy Wong wants more challenging roles
22 Oct – Although she has already been given many meaty roles in her recent projects, Mandy Wong is hopeful that she would get more and more challenging characters in her future dramas.
As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who sat for an interview recently, stated that despite the many interesting characters she has played throughout her career, she still hasn't found one that has the texture and flesh-and-blood that she craves.
"It is rare to get a good role once every ten years. In fact, I haven't even played a lot of characters," she said.
However, Mandy said that her mentality has changed in the past ten years when it comes to her approach to acting.
"I used to look into my own "crystal ball" when I received a role. But now I would look at it from a macro perspective. Whenever I participate in a new drama, I want to learn more from my seniors, have another insight into the script and the characters around me," she said.
Mandy will have three new dramas in 2020, including the highly-anticipated "The Exorcist Meter 2.0" and "Line Walker 3".
