Mandy Wong to star alongside Kara Hui in new TVB series
5 May – Mandy Wong recently revealed that she is set to star in an upcoming drama alongside award-winning actress Kara Hui, titled "Diary of Criminal Investigation" (working title).
As reported on Mingpao, the actress who spoke about the new project at the promotional event of her currently airing series, "Brutally Young", shared that she would be playing a bomb disposal expert in the new series, which is why she has already started getting in shape.
"The uniform weighs nearly 80 pounds. Although I have already lost a few pounds, I have to still run around in it, which requires a lot of physical energy," she said.
Mandy added that the training that she has been undergoing will be focusing on the upper body.
Speaking about collaborating with Kara for the first time, the actress said that she is very happy to gain such an opportunity.
"I am quite nervous, but looking forward to it as well. I hope to learn more from her," she said.
On the other hand, Mandy revealed that the sequel to her 2017 hit series, "The Exorcist's Meter" will be airing this week.
"This is the first time in my many years with TVB that I have two dramas airing back to back," she added.
