Mandy Moore is getting real about her pregnancy troubles. While the This Is Us star appears to be chugging along just fine in terms of her baby's health, her skin is showing some effects that she's attempting to get rid of.

“Pregnancy melasma is the pits,” she shared in an update to her Instagram Story, which featured her using a red light therapy device by Lyma that retails for @2,695. “I heard @lymalife can help.”

According to the National Institute of Health, melasma is "a common skin problem caused by brown to gray-brown patches on the face." The outlet notes that most people, more commonly in men, get melasma patches "on their cheeks, chin, nose bridge, forehead, and above the upper lip," and pregnant women and women who take oral contraceptives or hormones are more likely to get it.

Moore announced that she and husband Taylor Goldsmith were expecting their third child in June. Ahead of giving birth, Moore explained that she's enjoying the time left that she and Goldsmith has a family of four.

"It's so much fun,” she told People. “I know that parents sort of love to say it just gets better, but I truly believe that is the case. We have one that's obviously potty-trained and the other's still in diapers, but they're only 20 months apart so they're just starting to interact with each other."

"My husband I looked at each other the other day and we're like, 'This is a good phase.' But also recognizing in parenting, it's an ebb and flow," Moore continued. "You cannot get used to anything because as soon as you sort of digested it and you're like, 'Oh wow, we can handle this,' then some other challenge is thrown your way.”
