Malaysia's Lavanya Sivaji makes it to Miss World 2021's Top 40
24 Jan – Malaysia's own Dr Lavanya Sivaji has recently made it to the Top 40 of the upcoming 70th Miss World pageant.
The news was shared by the beauty queen herself on social media, following the release of this year's Top 40 list by the Miss World pageant on 22 January.
"I am beyond honoured and grateful that MALAYSIA got into the quarter finals, Top 40 of Miss World through the judges choice. With this I would love to thank my family, friends, sponsors, make-up artists, photographers, designers, my beloved past queens, my national director, my fellow pageant ladies, pageant pages and the pageant fans for constantly supporting me, voting for me and for believing in me," she expressed.
"Words can never describe how grateful I am to be in this position, thank you God. To all my Miss World sisters who made it into top 40, my heartiest congratulations to all of you & to all my pageant sisters we are all winners," she added.
A Selangorian through and through, Lavanya holds a medical degree and is also the founder of an advocacy and charity project called 4Them, focusing on the Orang Asli welfare.
