Malaysian woman goes viral for resembling Squid Game's Player 212

4 Oct – A Malaysian woman suddenly found herself turning viral over her resemblance to a "Squid Game" actress, Kim Joo-Ryoung.

The said woman, whose TikTok handle is @amein_nur_iman recently decided to make a funny video on TikTok where she shared a scene from the said Netflix series of Kim - who plays the role of Player 212, and then made the same pose as her.

After going viral in Malaysia for their similarity, with Amein jokingly captioning the video as "Keeping it halal", she suddenly found herself being reposted by the actress herself.

While Kim made no comment about the said video, the fact that she shared it herself on Instagram Story has gotten the Malaysian fans all excited.

"OMG," wrote one netizen. "It's gone viral in Korea!"

"Toilet aunty has changed," said another, referring to the character's most prominent characteristic.

The video had since garnered more than 3.7 million views on TikTok.

Amein had since shared a thank you post on her said account, writing, "OMG Can't believe #KimJooRyoung watch it #squidgame"

The actress, Kim Joo-Ryoung is no stranger to K-movies and dramas, having starred in various big screen and small screen projects, including "Memories of Murder", "Sky Castle", and "Kingmaker: The Change of Destiny".
