Maja Salvador wins Best Actress at Asia Contents Awards
8 Oct – Maja Salvador recently won Best Actress at the inaugural Asia Contents Awards held in Busan, South Korea.
As reported on ABS-CBN, the actress, who was awarded for her performance as Lily Cruz and Ivy Aguas in the Kamapilya teleserye, "Wildflower", thanked the network for their trust in her.
"Playing Ivy Aguas and Lily Cruz was a great challenge and a pleasure for me as an actor. To paint an honest picture of what she went through knowing that viewers emphatised, cheered and from time to time, hate her for her choices. It was an honor to be trusted with this role by our network, ABS-CBN, and the whole team of Wildflower," she said.
She also thanked her co-star Tirso Cruz III, saying that the actor encouraged her when she thought she had nothing more to give.
On the other hand, "Wildflower" failed to bring home the Best Asian TV Drama accolade after losing it to Thailand's "Hormones" and Singapore's "Faculty".
