Maggie Cheung Ho-yee gains more post-TVB

10 Mar – Hong Kong actress Maggie Cheung Ho-yee revealed that she has been very happy and contented after leaving TVB, and has the freedom to work for any TV company she wants since her departure.

As reported on Apple Daily, the 44-year-old actress stated that she made the right decision when she opted to leave the company, saying, "Previously, I was very afraid of the world outside of TVB. I thought that there will only be period dramas and that the filming will be done in some no man's land that you can't even find a restroom!"

But now, the actress said that she has the freedom to do what she wants and live the way she chooses.

The actress was also full of praises for Ricky Wong and his TV station, HKTV, for being able to fulfil their promises to her when she was working on "Hakka Woman" for the company.

"Kathy Chow once asked break hours from TVB, but they were not able to fulfil it for her in the end. When I was working on "Hakka Woman" on HKTV, Ricky promised me 10 hours of break and he kept the promise," said Maggie.

She also revealed that she would be filming another modern series with the company in April.
