Madame Figaro defends Angelababy over Photoshop issue
10 Dec – The organiser of a fashion event recently defended Angelababy over editing her photos into their event after failing to make an actual appearance.
As reported on ET Today, the issue sparked last weekend when the actress' studio jokingly shared a photo of the actress at the the 2019 Madame Figaro Fashion Gala that they photoshopped in, despite the fact that Angelababy couldn't attend the actual event that was held on 7 December.
The studio wrote, "Due to scheduling conflict, Angelababy couldn't attend the event, but she is wearing her "best dress" to attend the gala remotely to express her sincerity."
However, netizens and bashers alike didn't take it as a joke, as they went on social media to criticise the actress for "being lazy" instead of doing her job.
In response to the backlash, organiser Madame Figaro took to social media to defend the actress, saying that the actress was originally scheduled to attend but couldn't do it after the event changed its time.
"As a friend to Madame Figaro's, we really hope to see her beauty gracing the red carpet at our gala. So we used another method to invite Angelababy to attend the event. We're very grateful for her support of Madame Figaro. Please do not overanalyse it," the post read.
