‘M.S. Dhoni’ Trailer: Bollywood Film About Indian Cricket Legend’s Life
Here’s a trailer for M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, based on the true life story of the legendary cricket player and set for releases in the States on September 30. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the current captain of the Indian national team, has won numerous titles and holds as many records. Known as M.S. Dhoni, he started out as a ticket taker for mass transport in his country before rising to become one of India’s most heralded sports figures. Last year, Forbes ranked Dhoni among the highest-paid athletes in the world.
The film is Hindi with English subtitles. The untitled trailer has been viewed about 14 million times on YouTube, and this is one of the most highly anticipated Bollywood films to bow in a long while. Many times, these films come out of nowhere to end up in the North American box office Top 20.
The biopic was directed by Neeraj Pandey and features Indian TV and film actor Sushant Singh Rajput in the title role. The film, also written by Pandey, was produced by Fox Star Studios, Inspired Entertainment and Arun Pandey and was done in association with Friday Film Works. It also stars Kiara Advani, and Anupam Kher. The teaser for the film was released on March 15, the day that the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 started. The marketing materials on this film rock.
