Luo Zheng met with hundreds of fans at first Malaysian fan meeting
13 Sep - iQIYI recently hosted the highly anticipated iQIYI VIP Asia Tour featuring fan favourite Mr. Bossy CEO Luo Zheng, who met and greeted his fans at Sunway Velocity Mall.
The event marked Luo Zheng's first appearance in Malaysia, drawing a crowd of over 500 fans at the press conference and another 260 at a closed-door fan meeting.
Luo Zheng, known for his romantic dramas including "You From the Future", "Skip a Beat", "Perfect Mismatch", "Nothing But You", and many more, have topped charts in Asian markets like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the US. In 2022, he was named iQIYI International VIP ambassador due to his global appeal and strong fan following across both Chinese and non-Chinese speaking audiences.
Heading straight for the press conference from Pullman KLCC, Luo Zheng shared about his journey in Malaysia thus far and was excited when talking about how he's tried out local food like Nasi Lemak, Curry Mee, Satay, and various types of kuih. Not only that, the crew even brought him to a local mamak spot for some local mamak food!
If you thought his experience has only been restricted to food, then that's where you're wrong – he even rocked a traditional Malay baju melayu – and stunned everyone, especially the female fans!
Luo Zheng also got to hang out with Fasha Sandha, and fans were left screaming when he spilled the beans about an awesome collaboration that's coming soon! So stay tuned!
Luo Zheng revealed that he sings the OSTs of all the dramas he acted in and ended the fan meet on a touching note with a sing-along of the theme song from his latest drama, "You from the Future". This sing-along wasn't just about the song – it also showcased the special bond between Luo Zheng and his fans. The atmosphere was full of emotions, with passion and a mutual love for each other.
The fan meet didn't end there. Luo Zheng further surprised fans by changing into a frog outfit that is very popular China at the moment and danced to "Queencard", a song trending on TikTok. The surprise didn't end there as Luo Zheng also danced to the theme song "Ei Ei (Pick Me)" from his time in the variety show Idol Producer.
Luo Zheng's first appearance in Kuala Lumpur was a success and a celebration. His visit highlighted iQIYI's worldwide impact and the deep adoration for C-dramas amongst both Chinese and non-Chinese speaking audiences.
