Breeze Airways is celebrating its Tampa base with a special keepsake for travelers to take home on their next flight.

On Tuesday, Breeze Airways shared on its Instagram that passengers can now request trading cards on flights from Tampa International Airport (TPA). This first batch is part of the Hometown Carrier Collection, featuring key Tampa travel facts and Breeze’s Airbus A220-300.

“We've partnered with Tampa International Airport on these and they are being handed out currently only by Tampa-based pilots,” an airline representative from Breeze shared in a statement exclusively with T+L. “So guests should look out for them on flights in and out of TPA.”

The startup carrier was created by former JetBlue founder David Neeleman, and it launched its inaugural flight in 2021 from Tampa to Charleston just over three years ago. Tampa is now one of the carrier's biggest bases, as the low-cost airline connects travelers to two dozen nonstop destinations and operates service to over 50 cities.

While Tampa-based travelers are the only ones in luck for now, Breeze Airways shared with T+L that more of these coveted cards should be available from other Breeze cities soon. Fortunately, Breeze isn’t the only airline to offer trading cards, as they’ve been a staple at Delta Air Lines for aviation enthusiasts alike. Each collectible features a different aircraft in Delta’s fleet, with 11 cards that are currently up for grabs.

Breeze plans to unify its fleet by the end of the year by operating all Airbus A220s, so we can expect these trading cards to display unique features of Breeze’s cities rather than showcasing different aircraft. The airline currently operates a fleet of both the Airbus A220-300 aircraft and the Embraer 190 and 195 aircraft, while the latter two would eventually transition to charter service.

The news comes as Breeze is having a major sale for September travel — Tampa included. The promotion, which ends on Thursday, July 18, at 11:59 p.m. PT, has one-way deals across Breeze’s network starting at just $30.
