"Love Off the Cuff" wins OAFF's Audience Award
23 Mar – Although his film was not part of the main competition, director Pang Ho Cheung is delighted upon finding out that his movie, "Love Off the Cuff" has won the Audience Award at the recently concluded Osaka Asian Film Festival 2018.
The director, whose aforementioned movie was part of the "Special Focus on Hong Kong 2018" programme, responded to Apple Daily about the award, saying, "I want to thank the audiences at the OAFF. They are the ones who voted for the movie [to win]."
Pang stated that he didn't get the chance to meet with the audience since he was busy working on new scripts.
"But I really want to thank them for their generous support," he added.
On the other hand, lead star Miriam Yeung, who appeared at the annual dinner held by the Hong Kong Film Directors Guild, expressed happiness with the recognition.
"To win an award is a very good thing. I am happy for the director," she said.
