Love Island 2022 contestant reveals Adam Collard sent her messages before joining the show

Love Island 2022 has been full of *all* the plot twists - from some unexpected Casa Amor head turns, to some surprise villa exits. And the biggest curveball of all? Ex Islander Adam Collard's shock bombshell entrance.

We've got pretty used to seeing Adam back in the villa by now. But it turns out he actually had a previous connection to one of this year's contestants - with a 2022 Islander revealing that Adam semi-slid into her DMs before the show.

This isn't the first time we've seen this season's Islanders crossing paths in the real world. Contestants Charlie Radnedge and Tasha Ghouri previously revealed that they'd actually matched on dating app Hinge prior to entering the villa, while Gemma Owen's ex-boyfriend Jacques O'Neill also joined the show.

Now, former 2022 Islander Antigoni Buxton has opened up about another real-world connection - revealing that Adam sent her messages before he entered the villa.

Asked whether she would have been tempted by Adam if she was still on the show, Antigoni told OK!, "There was a photo of me on my friend’s Instagram the other day and he replied to it calling me fit and then followed me!"

As for whether there could be any chance of the two continuing the interaction in the outside world, Antigoni added, "So, we’ll see if he slides into my DMs when he’s out…"

Reckon these two could make a good match?

Antigoni was coupled up with Charlie when the pair left the villa together, though they were only in a friendship couple. She'd previously also had a connection with Davide Sanclimenti, while Adam is now coupled up with Paige Thorne.

Speaking to Cosmopolitan UK, Antigoni and Charlie previously opened up about who they want to win this year's competition. "For me this is an obvious one, I definitely want Davide to win with whoever he’s coupled up with," Charlie said, before Antigoni joked, "Just Davide on his own. I want Davide to win and just keep the money. No one’s ever done that. That would be incredible."

Love Island continues at 9pm on ITV2.
