Love Is Blind's Colleen Reed responds to claims she looked 'uncomfortable' at the reunion

Love Is Blind's Colleen Reed has addressed the speculation she looked uncomfortable during the reunion episode, telling Cosmopolitan UK she was dealing with a lot of stress and anxiety in the lead up to the episode.

Following the reunion episode which dropped on Netflix last week, a number of viewers expressed concern for Colleen Reed on Twitter.

The ballet dancer revealed on the sofa that she and husband Matt Bolton were stronger than ever after saying "I do" in at their wedding, and were planning on moving in together once their respective leases were up.

Some viewers took to Twitter about the appearance, with one writing: "Colleen looked uncomfortable the entire reunion…" Another person added: "Sorry but Colleen looks absolutely terrified during the reunion someone please check on her #LoveIsBlind."

Colleen has now addressed the speculation in a statement to Cosmopolitan UK where she said she was not in a "good headspace" leading up to the reunion. This was due to seeing the reaction from viewers surrounding the first few episodes (the reunion was filmed shortly after the first episodes dropped on Netflix).

She explained: "Going into the reunion, I was not in good headspace as I was dealing with a lot of anxiety due to the negative commentary I had endured during the first few episodes. While I knew what I had signed up for, at that point I was not prepared for the gravity of strangers critiquing my profession that I am incredibly proud of, my character, and tearing down my body/physical traits."

Colleen went onto say she was also "embarrassed" at having to rewatch the pool scene in which herself and Cole expressed they found each other attractive, and didn't want rewatching the scene to change things between herself and husband Matt, and the female cast members.

"Not only was I was dealing with this stress, but I was embarrassed of having to watch the pool scene in front of everyone and having to discuss it. I cherish my friendships with these girls so much. I didn't want my actions to change anything with them or with Matt. I was anticipating more harmful comments as well," she said.

Colleen added that Matt was incredibly supportive during filming of the reunion and provided constant reassurance that she was okay.

Ballet dancer Colleen has had an interesting journey on Love Is Blind, initially getting on well with Cole Barnett in the pods before connecting with now husband Matt Bolton.

After the pair got engaged, they hit a rocky patch on their honeymoon, before ultimately saying "I do" during the season finale, which aired on 9th November.

At the reunion, Colleen and Matt revealed they were still married but currently living apart because of rent prices. Speaking on the reunion couch, the pair both said they were "doing really good" and they take their relationship "incredibly serious[ly]".

In addition to responding to comments about her wellbeing at the reunion, Colleen also told Cosmopolitan UK she wished the episode had looked into her arguments with Matt. She said she wanted to be given the opportunity to explain and provide clarity for the audience.

She added: "I do wish Matt and I were asked about and discussed our fallouts along with what led us from going to being unsure to saying 'yes' at the alter. Both Matt and I are well past everything and learned from our experience so then we are very open to talking about it all. I think it would have provided a lot of clarity for the audience."

Colleen ended the reunion by saying she couldn't wait to live with Matt and the couple were looking to move in together in the next few months.

Cosmopolitan has contacted Colleen and production company Kinetic Content for comment.
