Louis Lin: Lin Chi-ling's success is because of hard work
6 Mar – Louis Lin (Lin Jian-huan) knew he was seeing a star when he first set his eyes on Taiwanese model-actress Lin Chi-ling, back when she was just a high school student.
As reported on Epoch Times, in an interview with the media recently, Louis, who is known as the man who scouted Lin and introduced her to showbiz, shared that he thought she was very pure and beautiful the first time he saw her.
"I immediately handed her my business card, introduced myself, and went straight to the topic. But she said, "I need to ask my mum first". She was just 16 at the time," he said.
They soon cooperated in six ads together, before Lin went abroad to begin her college education.
Louis said that even though they didn't work together for long, he was in awe at how hard Lin worked, adding that the saying, "human success is not without reason" really suited her.
"She was very independent. She was still considered a minor when she started, but she would be alone during the shoot. I think this is all about family education," he said.
Louis also revealed that Lin actually sought him for advice when she was courted by many management companies after she returned from her studies abroad.
When asked if Lin is successful now thanks to his help, Louis responded, "Her success is the result of her own efforts. I was only there to push her."
