Louis Koo prefers dark complexion over fair skin
25 Jul – Although he has always been proud of his darker complexion, Louis Koo admitted recently that he has to try and make himself fairer for his new film.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at a skincare event recently, revealed that he is playing a tailor in his new film, and that it is more rational for his character to have fairer skin due to the nature of the job.
When asked how he plans to do it, Louis said that it will involve dieting, lighting, and make-up.
As to how he gets his dark complexion in the first place, Louis responded, "I like to tan in the sun during the summer, but the weather hasn't been good lately and I haven't had the time to do it due to my schedule. Maybe I am not fated to enjoy the sun this year."
Louis also admitted that he prefers his dark complexion since it means that he is not required to put on additional make-up.
"Some roles require that I have darker skin, so I can just do it without darkening my skin with make-up," he said.
