Louis Koo: No high hopes to win Best Actor

20 Mar – Hong Kong actor Louis Koo will not foster high hopes that he will be this year's Best Actor at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at the Federation of Hong Kong Filmmaker's banquet recently, shared that he will let fate decide when it comes to winning awards.

"I would just go with the flow. For me, the nomination is already a recognition," he said.

The actor, who is nominated for his role as a desperate father in "Paradox", also admitted that the movie brought him a different kind of challenge, as he had to do a lot of stunts and fighting scenes on his own.

"It was very difficult, and I am thankful to [action choreographer] Sammo Hung for his attentiveness," he said.

As for the rest of the competition, which include Hong Kong superstar Andy Lau (Shock Wave") and actor Ronald Cheng ("Concerto of the Bully"), Louis stated that each and every one of them is a strong contender to win.

The upcoming 37th Hong Kong Film Awards will be held at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 15 April.
