Louis Koo happy to be nominated as Best Actor at HKFA

11 Feb – Hong Kong actor Louis Koo recently expressed his delight at being nominated for Best Actor at the upcoming Hong Kong Film Awards.

As reported on HK01, the actor, who is nominated for his role in "Paradox" as a desperate father who would do just about anything to save his daughter, stated that he is honoured by the recognition even if it is just a nomination.

"I am grateful to the judges and the audience for their support, and to the whole team, including director Wilson Yip, producers Cheang Pou Soi and Paco Wong, and my co-stars, Tony Jaa, Chris Collins, Wu Yue, and Jacky Cai," he said.

Louis also expressed happiness that co-star Gordon Lam is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category, while Hanna Chan, who plays his daughter in the movie, will be competing in the Best New Performer category.

"But the most important person here is action director Sammo Hung, whose careful guidance has benefited me a lot," he added.

This is the second Best Actor nomination for Louis' performance in the movie. He was previously nominated in similar category at the 12th Asian Film Awards.

This is also the third time he is nominated in the category at the Hong Kong Film Awards, after being nominated in 2008 for "Run Papa Run" and in 2013 for "The White Storm".
