Louis Cheung defends MIRROR members Anson, Edan over backlash

2 Aug – Louis Cheung recently defended junior performers Anson Lo and Edan Lui, who have been criticised for their manners during the tragic incident that occurred at the recent MIRROR concert.

As reported on Mingpao, the singer, who appeared at the launch of the fashion brand Petrolhead recently, was asked about the two singers, who were accused of pretending to be professional when they continued to perform even when the music suddenly halted following the tragedy.

Said Louis, normal people do not understand the actual situation when it comes to singers performing on stage.

"Ordinary people will immediately know what is going on, but even they sometimes may not react immediately. Edan and Anson were in a state of excitement. They had their earpieces on. I'm pretty sure they had no idea what had happened in the first five seconds. You only hear the music and your own voice," he said.

Louis also stated that both Anson and Edan have a close relationship with Ah Mo, the dancer who was directly hit in the incident and is now in the ICU. The dancer was also revealed to be a university classmate and friend to Anson.

"How can they not be sad? I hope everyone will give them support and stop speculating," he added.
