Lori Loughlin and her fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, are still fighting all those charges brought against them in the massive college admissions scandal, and Lori reportedly doesn’t believe she’ll actually be thrown in prison because of it. Bless her heart.

Just yesterday, Lori and Mossimo pleaded not guilty to those new money laundering charges that were brought against them after they rejected their previous plea deal relating to the original conspiracy to commit fraud charges. All the charges stem from how they allegedly paid $500,ooo to a phony charity run by William “Rick” Singer, who used the money to bribe athletic coaches, school officials, and exam proctors. This was all to get their daughters into the University of Southern California, and the money was also allegedly written off on Lori and Mossimo’s tax forms.

Since they pleaded not guilty, if Lori and Mossimo are convicted, they face a maximum of 40 years in prison. However, that doesn’t seem to be clicking in their minds. According to Entertainment Tonight, Lori doesn’t think she’s really going to be locked up after all of this and is hoping the judge will see they “had no bad intentions.” The ET source said:

“When Lori heard the number of years she could spend in prison, she broke down crying. The thought of being separated from her loved ones for years brought her to her knees. She has watched as the other families cut deals, but her husband feels they are not guilty and should plead not guilty....In the end, she trusts those who are advising her and somehow believes there is a chance she will go free.”

According to CBS legal analyst Rikki Klieman, things are not looking so hot for the couple. She warned, “If they have real physical evidence against Lori Loughlin, she and her husband are going to be in for a quick guilty verdict and a big punishment.” Eek!

I wonder how the Hot Pockets heiress, who is also charged with money laundering and conspiracy to commit fraud, is handling all this....
