World Gourmet Summit (WGS) 2019 will run from 1 April to 12 May across various restaurants and venues in Singapore. Returning with its 23rd edition, the month-long culinary festival celebrates fine cuisines, wines, and exceptional dining experiences.
What’s unique about WGS 2019 is that it will highlight the movement towards food-waste management, and plastic-free environment via the theme of Sustainability in the Gastronomy World.
The event will feature a line up of culinary stars, including up-and-coming chefs and renowned culinary influencers from Asia, Eastern and Central Europe, as well as North and South America.
This year, diners are in for even more unique and exciting dining experiences as local and international gourmet partners showcase their premium produce during masterclasses and a host of curated brunches and dinners.
A group of international masterchefs will be demonstrating their skills across a range of curated gastronomic programmes. They will be hosted at some of the city’s most notable restaurants at the World Gourmet Summit Masterchef Dining Delights dinners from 24 – 27 April. Hosting establishments include Akira Back, Blue Lotus, Dolce Vita, Skai, Mezza9 and others.
Among the masterchefs headlining this year’s event are Romanian chef, Adi Hadean, a TV and radio personality, and former judge on the Romanian edition of MasterChef cooking show series; Soma Oroszki, head chef of Enjoy! by La Parrilla, at the Iberostar Grand Hotel Budapest; and Martin Rebaudino, Executive Chef of Roux, which was awarded No. 27 in the “Best 50 Restaurants in Latin America” by the San Pellegrino Guide and No. 4 within the Argentina Republic in 2013.
