In honor of the Chilean actor’s 2024 Golden Globe nomination in the category of Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series Drama for his role in “The Last of Us,” FootwearNews is breaking down some of Pascal’s best footwear moments throughout the years.
SNL Afterparty Oct. 22, 2023
Keeping casual, Pascal laced up a pair of 237 New Balance sneakers. His round-toed style featured paneled suede and corduroy uppers in tonal hues of blue and green, punctuated on either side by large golden yellow “N” logos for a retro flair, a design staple for the sneaker brand. Additionally, the kicks featured sleek white lace-up closures and graphic branding on the tongues and insoles. Pascal is a lover of sneakers of all kinds, although he tends to gravitate toward sportier styles.
Alongside his colorful footwear, the “Narcos” star wore dark wash denim accompanied by a deep blue crew neck sweater and a brown leather jacket. Finishing things off, Pascal sported glasses featuring round chocolate brown frames.
“The Mandalorian” Season Three Photocall Feb. 22, 2023
For a “The Mandalorian” season three photocall, Pascal went for a dressier look, sporting a pair of black leather boots. The footwear was likely ankle-length and featured high-shine jet-black uppers that transitioned into bulbous toes and thick rubber soles equipped with non-slip tread. The pair were neutral and versatile, allowing Pascal to build a rather colorful outfit around them.
With that in mind, the thespian was outfitted in a full Acne Studios ensemble comprised of billowing bright red trousers, a gray tank and a brown waffle-knitted cardigan fitted with gold button closures.

In a preppy style, Pascal wore white and black loafers crafted of shiny leather uppers that transitioned into rounded almond-shaped toes topped with silver hardware. Unlike more dressy and sophisticated oxfords, loafers are considered a comparatively relaxed style.
Loafers do not have lace-up closures, like Pascal’s style, and can often be found in platform styles. Many brands stock the silhouette including Coach, Aldo, and Sam Edelman. The Chilean actor is a big fan of both loafer and oxford styles, especially for formal occasions.
Paired with his loafers, Pascal wore a sharp all-white suit.

The all-white style was paired with multi-colored socks.
Accompanying his sneakers, Pascal wore a cream and black Nanushka collared shirt featuring a vaguely floral design accompanied by brown tailored trousers that were belted.
“David Makes Man” Premiere Aug. 06, 2019
Adding a pop of color to his footwear wardrobe of mostly neutrals, Pascal wore a pair of mossy green sneakers to the premiere of “David Makes Man.” The low-top style was crafted of rich green leather uppers accompanied by rubber soles, rugged stitching and matching lace-up closures.
The green sneakers were paired with gray skinny jeans and a graphic purple and red printed button-down shirt.
“Kingsman: The Golden Circle” World Premiere Sept. 18, 2017
Pascal went in a preppier direction for the “Kingsman: The Golden Circle” world premiere in a pair of leather loafers featuring grungy details. The footwear featured shiny deep blue leather uppers fitted with thick leather straps threaded through silver buckles. Additionally, the footwear included thick rubber soles and sturdy but short stacked block heels.
Going the whimsical route, Pascal was outfitted in a multi-colored striped suit paired with a brick-red turtleneck.

In his younger days, Pascal was often seen wearing neutral footwear of the lace-up variety. While attending a gala in 2014, the thespian sported a dark gray pair of shoes fitted with white lace-up closures, leather uppers and short stacked brown heels. Pascal began incorporating more colorful footwear later in his career, becoming more adventurous with his choices.
Alongside his neutral footwear, Pascal wore fitted dark gray denim, a white button-down shirt and a gray vest. The ensemble was quintessential 2014 given the vest and skin-tight denim.

“Some Men” Opening Night March 26, 2007
While attending the opening night of “Some Men,” a then 32-year-old Pascal wore a pair of casual all-white low-top sneakers. The pair featured a mix of canvas and leather uppers accompanied by coordinating white lace-up closures. With his sneakers, Pascal wore light-wash denim and a brown leather jacket layered overtop a white button-down shirt. Additionally, the thespian wore a pink tie around his neck.
On Monday, the annual event’s nominees were announced by Wilmer Valderrama and Cedric the Entertainer in Beverly Hills. Within the film category, the nominations were led by “Barbie” with nine collectively (including Greta Gerwig, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling), followed by “Oppenheimer” (eight nominations). This year’s lineup will also feature a new award for best cinematic and box office achievement — for top-earning films with total grosses of at least $150 million — whose nominees include “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” “Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse” and “John Wick: Chapter 4,” according to Time.
Pascal has become a major player in Hollywood as of late, owning the limelight in classic silhouettes with colorful touches from top brands like Gucci, Acne Studios, Prada and Loewe, among others. From hits like “The Last of Us” to “The Mandalorian,” Pedro has been taking over television screens and doing so stylishly.
A fixture of the limelight, Pascal recently graced the cover of Esquire, doing so fashionably in fur coats and leather jackets. The actor recently starred alongside Ethan Hawk in a neo-western drama titled “Strange Way of Life” written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar.
The Golden Globes will air on CBS on Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. ET.
