SINGAPORE — Spanish luxury brand LOEWE recently announced a new campaign with Stranger Things actor Charlie Heaton for their Spring/Summer 2020 menswear collection.

Photographed by famed Steven Meisel, the 25-year-old actor is captured in a moment of introspection before going on stage. It is in that delicate act that we see Charlie with smeared lipstick, observing his reflection in a mirror as he leaves us with questions of ambiguity, blurring the lines of gender stereotypes.

In keeping with creative director Jonathan Anderson’s vision with Steven, the new campaign reveals the portrait of Charlie grasping a grassy clump of earth against a grey background in the centre of the frame. Completing the triptych is a still life image debuting Spring/Summer 2020’s new Grand Puzzle Bag.
