Fans of llao llao in Singapore have taken to social media to mourn the loss of the yoghurt chain, a day after a Channel NewsAsia report on Wednesday night (6 December) saying that the Spanish brand will be phasing out all of its 29 outlets starting 7 December.

They will make way for another European yoghurt chain brand called Yolé (pronounced yo-lay), which will begin operations from Saturday (9 December). Judging by the Yolé Taiwan Facebook page, the dessert brand will also offer frozen yoghurt with a variety of toppings.

On Thursday (7 December), fans in Singapore rushed to llao llao to grab final cups of their favourite frozen yoghurt. Many of them have shared their last memories on social media:

According to the media report, master franchisee D+1 Holding did not reveal why they decided to discontinue the franchise. llao llao was launched in Singapore four years ago.
