Liu Tao threatens legal action over infidelity claims

17 Apr – "The Legend of Mi Yue" actress Liu Tao has recently denied speculations that she has cheated on her husband with another man.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress, who has been married to businessman Wang Ke for ten years now, has recently been named as one of the "suspects" in the latest extra-marital affair rumours involving a married actress.

As netizens further speculate, Liu's studio recently released a statement, saying that the rumours have severely damaged her reputation and that her lawyer has been entrusted to handle the issue.

The statement read, "While the country is vigorously rectifying the internet's illegal and false informations, such [sites] still disregard the relevant laws of this country with malicious slander. We would like to remind the majority of internet users not to trust [these rumours], not to pass it on, and to comply with the laws. Abide by the moral code and be cautious in making remarks!"
