Lionel Richie to be lauded at the Grammys

John Legend, Meghan Trainor, Luke Bryan and Demi Lovato are set to preform musical tributes to the former Commodores front man at this year's ceremony.

The cross-genre performances - Legend is R&B and Bryan a huge country draw - are in honour of Richie being named MusiCares' person of the year.

MusiCares is the Recording Academy's health and human services charity and was set up to provide help and assistance to those that work in music.

As part of the performance, Richie will also take to the stage at this year's event which is once again hosted by rapper and actor LL Cool J.

The 58th annual Grammy Awards will be broadcast live in the US on Monday, February 15, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
