Lin Chi-ling spends more time doing charity
5 Apr – After two decades of a showbiz career, Lin Chi-ling is now dedicating part of her life to giving back to society.
As reported on Wenweipo, the actress, who appeared in Hong Kong recently, shared that she has been busy with her charity work and is currently planning to build dormitories for the poor living in the mountainous areas of the Chinese region.
"I recently went to mainland China to visit special children. We are also building some dormitories. There have been ten of them in Sichuan, Yunnan, Guizhou, Nanjing, Ningxia and etc. I want to add another two to four buildings," she said.
Lin said that she is currently in a new stage of her life, after spending most of her 20s and 30s pursuing her career.
"I want to give back to the society and spread positive energy. The happiest thing for me is to see the changes in these children after they had their surgery and special education," she said.
When asked how much money it cost to construct these dormitories, Lin said that it is expected to be around eight digits.
